A black metal lantern whose panels have been replaced, pane by pane, with strips of richly coloured stained glass - reds, ambers, greens, blues and violets, each piece cut to fit its frame exactly and soldered in place.

Unlit, it appears as a smart, jewel-toned lantern. Lit with a candle or LED tealight, it becomes something else entirely: the coloured panels throw a ring of soft rainbow light across the surrounding wall and floor, different every time you set it down somewhere new.

It works on a hearth, a windowsill, a garden table on a summer evening. One of the few pieces in the shop that performs at night as well as in sunlight.
