Custom pieces are designed by me, drawing on inspiration from you.

Your personal requirements, choice of colour, brief, occasion, ideas, and ultimate setting all influence the end product and I want you to be totally happy whether it is a private piece of art or a gift.

Whilst creating a bespoke item is a hugely satisfying process for me, the pleasure shown by the recipient has been known to reduce me to tears.  Not having the reassurance of Make it at Market, delivering a finished piece and seeing the pleasure has been a true validation for me and shown it is not just friends and family being kind.

 HOW IT WORKS

Commissioning a piece is simpler than most people expect. It starts with a message - tell me your idea, however rough. We’ll talk it through together: subject, colours, size, where the piece will live. I’ll then work up a design for you to approve before any glass is cut. Once you’re happy, I’ll give you a price and a timescale. I make your piece by hand and let you know the moment it’s ready.

WHAT PEOPLE COMMISSION

Recent commissions have included memorial pieces, pet portraits, birthday, wedding and anniversary gifts, housewarming presents, and designs built around a favourite flower, animal or place. If it matters to you, it can almost certainly be made in glass - and the answer to “can you make this?” is usually yes.

THE PRACTICAL BITS

Most commissions take around 8 Weeks, depending on size and the queue at the time. A deposit of 50% secures your place and the design work; the balance is due when your piece is finished. Pieces can be posted carefully anywhere in the UK, or collected in person.
